Quality & Sustainability
Sustainability is not a task for us.
It's a principle.
From the supply chain to the packaging -
we act today by the standards of tomorrow.
Our Approach
Economic success and responsible action are not opposites – they go hand in hand. That is why sustainability at Salcona is not a marketing term, but a core part of our business strategy. We look at sustainability across the entire value chain: in the selection of materials and suppliers, in our internal processes and in the design of our packaging.
We are supported in this by a renowned, specialised sustainability consultancy that helps us assess and implement regulatory requirements.
Responsible Sourcing
Careful selection of materials and long-term partnerships.
Quality Standards
Reliable products through consistent quality and control.
Regulatory Compliance
Proactive compliance with current and future regulations.
PPWR
European Packaging Regulation
The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) introduces new requirements for packaging design, recyclability, material efficiency and documentation across the European market.
We are already preparing systematically for PPWR compliance. Our approach includes reviewing existing packaging solutions, optimising material use and transitioning towards recyclable and resource-efficient packaging wherever possible.
By anticipating evolving EU packaging regulations and integrating sustainability into our sourcing and product development, we help our customers meet future requirements while reducing packaging waste and environmental impact.

CBAM
The EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) introduces carbon pricing for emission-intensive goods imported into the European Union, creating new requirements for companies involved in global sourcing and international supply chains.
As a globally sourcing company, we are directly affected by CBAM regulations – and fully prepared. We continuously assess our supply chains, collect relevant carbon emissions data and establish the necessary processes for CBAM documentation, reporting and compliance.
Our customers can rely on us to stay ahead of evolving EU environmental regulations. By identifying regulatory developments early and implementing the necessary measures, we ensure transparent, compliant and responsible sourcing – today and for the future.
Continuous Improvement
For us, sustainability is not a destination but an ongoing process.
New regulatory requirements, technological developments and growing customer expectations are opportunities – to continuously improve our processes and contribute to a resource-efficient economy.
